One of the main features of movements of the second and third centuries is the presence of different colors such as black, white, red and green on them, that caused these movements known with these used colors. So that, we repeatedly faced with words such as Siyah jamegan, Sefid jamegan, Sorkh jamegan and so on in historical writhing. Study of the place of that colors in this era’s movements, and the reason for choosing of them, can be main factor for understanding of some beliefs of this movement’s agent and this era’s events. In this article, we aimed to discuss about the meaning and the place of these colors in mentioned movements. Our hypothesis was that colors can be have both conventional and symbolic meaning, that first arise from historical condition of mentioned era and last related to mythological and religious beliefs of traditional world. The results confirm the validity of this hypothesis.
