The concept of hybrid warfare has been used since the Second World War by the scholars of political science and communication. This concept has developed by changing the tools of war and communication. While his concept meant the combination of naval, land, and air forces in World War II, today the battlefields and conflicts have changed due to the appearance of new communicating and fighting tools in a mediated and globalized world. Most conflicts in the media and virtual space are forced by tools called new media. Thus, hybrid warfare is becoming more complex with the emergence and development of new media in the post-truth era. Therefore, in the framework of the sound theory and using the documentary method with the aim of investigating the role of culture and new media in hybrid warfare, this article tries to answer this question that what is the role of culture and new media in the hybrid warfare in the post-truth era and how do the new media manipulate and reconstruct the truth? The findings indicate that the emergence of a post-truth era by using multiple information tools and producing and presenting multiple and diverse narratives in the cultural contexts, not only has degraded the authority of the national and local culture and the official media, but also made easier implementing hybrid warfare and it has provided the ground for cultural interventions and ambush.
